Our company, Icy Mountain Water, has been a Tradebank client since 1999. We got to see how it worked and we loved trading locally! The opportunity to buy the Medicine Hat franchise came up, and so in 2010 that’s exactly what we did! I have done brokering and have helped with sales as well. We are very well known in the community, and with running both businesses we can help our clients understand the advantages of trade easily from an ownership standpoint. Medicine Hat is a great community that sticks together and networks. Trade can change the quality of life when people barter correctly. Seeing people that have extra inventory or down time get something they wanted or didn’t have cash flow for is very rewarding.
I was raised at Icy Mountain Water since I was 3 years old, and I have always worked! I started doing admin work when I was 14; at 16 I was helping out with the accounting and I started working full time after graduating highschool. Working in the business I have had a lot of hands on learning. Through our businesses we do fundraisers for our local food bank and have a non-profit organization called the Icy Girls.
Outside of work, my biggest priority is my 4-year-old son. I work all the time and he is often with me at work – our Tradebank members know him pretty well! He has his own desk, a phone and is getting to be a big help! I enjoy spending my down time playing volleyball, jumping on the trampoline, and going to concerts.
